Default Ontario Tracks and Fabspeed Supercups

Hi everyone, I recently bought the family's first porsche (a 993) and was wondering if anyone has tried taking a car with Fabspeed Supercups (unbaffled or baffled) to Calabogie or Mt. Tremblant (or any other track that has a noise restriction)? I'm not sure the exact sound level in decibel terms, but it sure is loud. Is there any conventional wisdom on how to quiet down engine sounds for a day or two without switching exhausts? Do the tracks really enforce the noise restrictions?
Thanks at lot!

Good morning and welcome
My 2001 996 has a stock Porsche Sport exhaust. I have attended Calabogie a number of times and yes, they do enforce noise restrictions (to keep neighbours happy and away from the OMB and other such organizations). Check is done before you are allowed to participate by measuring sound level at 4 to 5k rpm while stationary. Initial check is good for 1 year if you keep your pass sticker given to you at check time. Additional checks are done at various and secret track-side locations throughout the day. If you are too loud, you are black flagged.
I believe max at Calabogie is 104db. My noise levels when checked initially ranged from 94db at 4k rpm on a clear morning to 102db at 5k rpm on a foggy morning.
At one event, I saw a very nicely prepared 928 track car with Cdn Tire mufflers rigged up sideways across the rear of the car.
I don't know about Mt. Tremblant, but I'm sure others will chime in. No restrictions at Mosport.

I believe Mont Tremblant is the most strict of the bunch, owing to a long-standing legal dispute between the track's owner and residents in proximity to the track. Apparently there is a sound-meter that is wired directly to the local police station and the track owner has an "allowance" for a small number of days when noise restrictions don't apply - such as the Ferrari Challenge race weekend.

Fire-n-ice is correct. The limit at Mt Tremblant is 92 dB measured at 50 feet on the A scale with fast respponse setting on the meter. a stock 997 GT3 with STOCK exhaust just makes it under the limit. Supercups need not apply I think. Lime Rock and Laguna Seca use the same limits. Expect more to follow I fear. Note the noise limits do not apply to scheduled races, only lapping days and or club events. The owner put mufflers on several of his exotic cars including a Ferrari FXX.
