I'll see you there sometime, need to work in the morning.
Those tickets were good for Thurday, Fri, Sat and Sun
It was a great time, You missed out, your name was called for the draw can't remember what it was for. Maybe Iceman and Zookie remembers what is was for.
The Parade lap was fun. I think we got Zookie hooked on it, still need to work on Iceman.
Few Photos from the Coral, I am sure someone else has more.
Pit pass or the oil i think.
A lot less handouts this year. Only one pass listed as a tour, last year it was 2 passes. Only one case of oil was given out. No hats nor those nice pen/flashlight/tire gauge compos this year. The longest distance driven was jacket? (it looked like it from distance) last years prize was tires.
More parking room was nice. I guess we got the Vetts corral space they had last year. A fun time imho
A bit embarassing.
I stalled my car in the coral while backing up on a small gnoll. The car wouldn't start after that.
A couple guys helped push the car in line and and we left it and enjoyed the day (sadly we did miss the parade). There was a battery boost kit available, so after the race we tried it. Not enough juice to fire up the Boxster. Another fellow had a full charge battery but the cables where suspect when it would'nt go. Another fellow had cables and with Neils (from DFC) help it fired right up and we made it home. I wish I knew the other folks names but I thanked them all.
The point of the story is, it was the best possible place to have something like that happen. Many people offered help or showed concern.
"it's not the cars, it's the people"
The usual suspect is the battery but I won't know more till I get my meter out and start probing.
