I followed this last year, it is a rally from Moscow to Ulanbataar and it is amazing. Porsche is a major sponsor/competitor and outfits the Cayenne S with offroad rally spec equipment. This year 21 Porsche Teams from across the world (Canadian Team! Kees Nierop & Lawrence Yap) and 9 other teams with other vehicles.

Watch the training video at Leipzig, very cool. It makes you want a Cayenne S Transsyberia!


That said they talk about how this Transsyberia Rally is the last "undiscovered" land rally but I think a rally across Northern Canada would be amazing.

Speaking of cool rallies, some guy was in Dawson City, Yukon and spotted all these vintage Aston Martins, Loti & vintage Jaguars. They are rallying from Panama to Anchorage, Alaska!! Now that's a rally, Lucas Electrics and racing along the west coast?

As for the Transsyberia, Team Canada is out! The transmission went and all they had was a crappy 5th gear. Ugh.
