Default That is the question: To put on clear bra or not

I wonder if you guys go through the same dilemma:
I want to stop the front destruction from rocks and bugs, by installing
a clear bra, but
I keep on thinking it is already too late- too nicked and scratched!

But then I think that if I install it now, even without re-painting,
it will prevent further destruction.

What do you guys think?

Maybe some detailing first, and then just install the clear bra?

I think about it everytime I wash/and or wax. In my case, i'll get a proper refinish first. Seeing the tiny stone chips under a clear bra would drive me nuts.

Call kevin at GTAinDetail.com to come and assess the damage and make your decision from there...

On that note; I usually recommend my clients get a bra if the car's front is in good shape. I realize the line bothers some people, but a well done clear bra is almost completely transparent when the car is clean. I have one on both my cars, fwiw.

i say don't do it unless the car has an immaculate front to protect. get it resprayed later on when it gets really bad, then cover it right to the end of the hood/front fenders so you don't get that line. it'll cost a bit more, but it will look really boss

Depends how bad your car is now. If Kevin can bring it back to near perfection, I'd do that and have it clear bra'd. My 997tt cab is 100% clear bra'd but I had it done when the thing was pretty much new.

Anybody know of someone in the Greater Vancouver area that does this?
