I've never been to PCA UCR DE before, so please understand my newbie questions.

1. What is the color system of the run group? blue, while, black, red? Which group is instructed and which one is solo?

2. Do I need number? Can I pick my own? How would I know nobody is using the same number?

yellow - instructed
white - solo (instructors do checks occasionally)
black - solo
red - instructors

Yes, you need to email the registrar with you number preferences and he will let you know if its free.

The assigned number is then yours if you attend at least one PCA UCR DE event per year. If you miss a year, the number goes back into the pool.

 

You need to run the skid school first.
Instructors don't have to run in red and you don't need to be an instructor to run in red. I think.

 

Actually, you need to be an instructor to run in the instructor group. The instructor upon approval from the chief instructor and tower can run in their students run group, but that means eating up their driving time.
