Default Couple snow pics

Just gota love these storms. I laughed my *** off, today watching a Nisan 350z with summers on try to go up a hill. He spun his tires for 5 min trying to get up the hill, walking would have been faster.

Nice! Do you have snow tires or all seasons? With snow tires I bet you're unstoppable! I want to see some snow offroading pics

All seasons, though I will be getting some true winters put on. I think this winter will not be like the last and we'll need them.

Apparently 5 or 6 cars were stuck at the end of our court. Why would you go out today in anything but a 4x4? I watched the snow fall from our bedroom window overlooking the court, in shorts and a t-shirt, as my form of protest I hate winter with every fibre of my being, more and more each year.

Our Infiniti FX35 has been unstopable today...lots of fun. P-car is in the garage until the city gets around to plowing our street...could be awhile.

My 98 civic did quite well today. Of course it has a really good set of winter tires on. It's all about tires and patience.

I cruised from Pickering to south Etobicoke this morning. Average speed of 70kmh. Lots of cars stuck on on ramps where the plow left a pile of snow. People that shoudn't be on the road were. One good example was the cab driver stopped in a live lane out of his car cleaning the ice off his wiper blades.

I spent the afternoon No Rinse Washing the car, conditioning the leather,
followed by a fun walk along Queen West - eerily calm quiet & peaceful.

...a good sunday!

I've seen a lot of normal cars getting stuck in the snow banks the ploughs leave. Not going to bother taking out the C4S.

Looks like I spoke too soon. Making a right turn onto the base I had to go through the thick stuff the snow plow left. I didn't quite make it all the way, just kind of floated ontop of it. However, the good thing about being on the base was that with in 2 min there was a bunch of people helping to dig and push me out, 5 min after that I was on my way. It's like a big family, everyone is so nice and helpful.

The only thing I drove today was my snowblower. And you don't really 'drive' it anyway, it just kind of pulls you along. Absolutely wonderful inventions.

Perfect day for driving lesson for my daughter.
She now knows about how useless all seasons (Volvo) are compared to real snows(Prius), how to get moving again when she is stuck, and the difference between sophisticated but switchable traction control (Volvo) and non switchable not too sophisticated TC (Prius).

I also showed her how to do a spin turn in reverse in the driveway (she didn't get to try that).

Love this weather - makes me wish I was still ice racing.
