I'm sure this has been asked before but .... can they impose the speed limits on onramps and offramps? You know, the yellow speed limit signs.

nope..but i'd keep it under 100 since that's the speed limit anyhow.
u'd be surprised at the kind of speeds a 911 will take those ramps at when the pavement is nice and sticky

Cawthra Road in Mississauga. I wouldn't exactly call it a cash cow as speed really needs to be kept down but that road is good for fixed radar at least in one spot or patrol almost always. A sure bet is southbound just under Dundas. It is downhill and posted at 50. Its got to be like catching fish in a barrel.

Check out radioworld on Steeles Ave W, just east of the 400 on the south side. They sell the Garmin Nuvi 250w for around $299 ... this one is a wide screen and will work off the internal battery for up to 5 hours. This is the best bang for the buck. We used it in Vegas last week ... worked great in the rental.

Radioworld is still cheaper than the others ... check out their site first!!!

When I was down in Vegas earlier this week ... the "Merican price was the same as ours ... and in a few cases more!!! Seems we are getting a better price up here.

maybe of interest:
http://www.xyyz.ca/thewyre.php?wc=11&wid=262
(first link on that page)

requires a login - 2 sec registration. Essentially it's a Google Map mash up that plots speed traps in Toronto - you can also download the data to your gps.

How did you load it to your Garmin?

Can you list some basic instructions?

So far,
1-I've downloaded the zip file
2-Plugged in the Nuvi...
3-help

1. Get the POI Loader from Garmin http://www8.garmin.com/support/colle...t=010-00540-00

2. Load the two .gpx files via the POI Loader (don't need those .csv)

3. that is all!
