Question Easiest border crossing in Quebec?

Hi

I'm going to wire money to a Porsche dealership on monday and don't know if I should ask them to send the original title to the US customs by mail or just fax a copy of the title.

I know the Champlain-Lacolle crossing required the original title for 72 business hours, but do any of you know another border that accepts just the fax of a title?

Last time I bought a car in the USA I asked the seller to mail the original title to the US Customs at the Canadian border and it got lost in their mail...I had to wait an extra 2 weeks so they could retrieve it....I would REALLY like to avoid sending the original title and just simply have the seller fax them a copy of the title...

thanks!

I used the Saint-Armand/Phillipsburg crossing and had absolutely no problems.

From the CBP website:

the owner must provide to Customs the original Certificate of Title or a Certified Copy of the Certificate of Title and two complete copies of the original Certificate of Title or the Certified Copy of the original.
The last time, I asked the seller to send a certified copy to CBP and the original to me.

I went to Plattsburg last Sunday and saw that the Champlain service port was under construction. It can better to use Saint-Armand/Phillipsburg

So that means they accepted a faxed copy of the title?
