Sure, but it gives you that much extra protection. Wash the car regularly, like you would any other car, and no rust. My pre-76 (Porsche started full galvanisation in 76) 911 is still relatively rust free, simply because it's been well taken care of.

forget the rust. snow/salt/rust - it was half a joke. Who the heck tries to sell a rusty 993 C4S for decent $$, anyway? Well, maybe a few schmos, but not most real Porsche nuts.

I missed out on almost this exact same car a few years ago (same colour combo, spec - C4S etc) and it was going for $55K Canadian - but had higher milage.

I'd have to agree than no savvy shopper is going to give you top $$ - and the number of savvy shoppers, due to the endless noise about the strong dollar and car prices, is getting larger everyday.

If you don't have to/want to sell it - I wouldn't in this market. Except to me - and I'll blow AM993's bid outta the water... $26K!

I'll even come and pick it up.

A Canadian car will always go for more $$ than a similar car imported from the US.

Your car shouldn't command a premium over it's US value. With the state of our currencies, *alot* of people know about importing cars now and will quickly realize this when they find out your car is from the US.

So if you car is fetching 42k USD, don't expect much more aside from the added transportation, RIV, GST costs.

infinii - Fair enough, though if I sell it, it will easily fetch a hell of a lot more than 42k USD...

I was just curious if I could take advantage (of course) of the exchange rate. If not, no biggie. I meant no insult to anyone.
