Default Air shipping a car to Europe

I was talking to someone at the GTG Saturday about this who was involved in shipping. I want to air ship my RS to Germany in the Spring for a few months respite from the OPP...

I did not get the name of the person, so if you see this I would be grateful if you would send me a PM..

Air Canada cannot do it FWIW..........you'll have to get Lufthansa or FEDEX. You'll need a front loading 747 cargo or other specialized aircraft.....IIRC FEDEX has side loading L-1011's..........It was about $10K the last time I checked which was 18 months ago.

A car to Cali by ground is around $1200-1500.................

Contact http://www.schmalz-schoen.com/eurocargo/e/index.html

or their subsidiary Joker Logistics. They handle all the world wide spare parts distribution for Porsche and race/show car delivery to car shows by air worldwide.

I've shipped cars and vans to Europe in the past but it was in a container and with a boat. This costs less than $2000.
