Default Alternator rebuild

Anybody know of a local place to get my alternator rebuilt? It's externally regulated, if that makes any difference, from my 72 911.

Thanks!

About 10 years ago I’ve had my ’83 928s alternator repaired at the local rebuild shop. From what the guy at the counter told me was that these alternators are standard Bosch units and all the internal parts are standard. The cost of the voltage regulator including labour was only $25. Try to call you local shop (look them up in the YellowPages) and ask them if they can do it.

I hope this helps!

Yep, it's a good start - thanks! Mine's got an external VR, so even easier, hopefully.

Try EASTERN AUTO ELECTRIC(905-549-7071) in Hamilton, been around for many years and specialize in alternators, staters, etc...
