Default A flat tire!

Out of all the days and all the tires and of all the cars in our driveway my Dad's left-rear 305/30/19 Michelin is flat as Saskatchewan. So, looks like tomorrow we'll try using the tire inflation goo kit then drive it to Pfaff (I know, I know-but believe it or not we get great service) to see if it can be patched. Otherwise I think Jamie140 had two extra Pirelli's .

Anybody have any experience using the goo and/or patching tires that are worth small investments !?

So looks like the Saturday meet will be short one car agh

Any good tire shop can fix it . i certainly would not take it to Pfaff for a tire repair. That is not their specialty. I would take it to tireworks. As long as the hole is not in the side wall the tire can be removed and a very effective patch can be put in from the inside. Funny how we were just saying the cars now don't come with spares.
Personally I would take the wheel off and take it over with another car.

Courtney at Autowerks did a plug repair on one of my brand new winter tires and said that as long as it isn't in the sidewall, the tire is as good as new. Mind you, I wouldn't run Le Mans with it. Total cost was about $25. and he didn't even take the wheel off the car.

Okay, sweet, I'll tell my Dad. Where exactly is Autowerks? I typed into Google and got a few links to here on Rennlist but w/ varying results.

You wouldn't run Le Mans with it Phil? Damn, we were planning on doing that

Yeah but would you do a skid pad in the snow ? At least that explains why you were the " cone killer"

Someone told me that Canadian Tire Milton does the best patches on the planet.

They might even be free for you....

In order to properly patch a tire nowadays, the tire must be romved and sanded around the puncture and then a patch with a plug attached to it must be installed and glued and pressed with a roller type tool. the goo will wreck the tire for any future use. remove the wheel and take it as previously recommended. I have only heard good things about autowerks but wonder why he repaired a tire without removing it.

Amen to that, it's the meal of champions. The ketchup is a critical ingredient to get the full effect. Do you mix the ketchup in or dip?

Offtopic again, sweet, Vader will be there and hopefully that CGT, the two black evil machines would look good together. I just got my new camera Olympus E-510 so I'll be, well my Dad will be taking lots of pictures

On topic:

Put the goo in the tire filled her up with air, drove to the neighbour's tire shop, plugged it etc-good stuff. I shall be there Saturday.
