I like the looks of the Elise better but it doesn't have the supercharger.
Is the roof removable on the Exige S?

Awesome car though, just got to get rid of wanting a cab.

the elise has almost no down force and the exige has 100 pounds...much better handling and way more agressive looking
top is removeable but the scoop feeds the supercharger, no big issue...peoiple do run without the top...sonny is a great dog..heres his younger buddy tex who we hope to breed and get a third

I just picked up my car this morning. An expensive hood emblem it is, $92 with a $62 charge to put in on. Oil changed and the rattling sound is gone, though the exhaust doesn’t sound as loud but it actually feels a little bit more powerful.

Geeeeez......a hood emblem is $40 or so from the US or Worldpac and it takes 1-2 minutes to install it yourself. $62 to install it is BS......and $90 for the part is insane. One of the techs from my shop is standing here and when I told him this he broke out laughing.

I commented on the install and what they charged me, they said it was really difficult to do.
And with no tools I am all thumbs. I actually do have a screw driver and a tape measure and a small hammer but its easier to just hand someone the keys.

Default OBD II Reader

If anyone ever needs to borrow one, I recently purchased an OBD II reader for a 1997 993 cab that we've recently adopted.
I can bring the rerader out on Saturdays.

Installing a hood emblem requires no tools or skills. You stick the posts in the holes in the hood and fasten two speednuts onto them from the underside. I've done it several times on my 944 because the gasket gets skewed when I wash the car. I need to replace the gasket but haven't got around to it. Next time you need it done, call me and I'll do it for a cold beer!

If They can't tell you what is causing your CEL with a masive super computer at their disposal are you realy surprised that they have not diagnosed why you are eating cats ? besides, no skin off their ***. Porsche pays them for the Warranty calls and you will pay them when it does it again out of Warranty unless you act now and get Porsche AG on the phone telling them you want support after warranty due to this none diagnosd issue.

Emblem : The only tricky part is getting the damn gasket spread out evenly under the badge when fastening it down. Not a big deal however.
CAT : If your substrate was broken away from the shell it can block the exhaust passage causing reduced power. Also the differentiating O2 sensors pre and post cat will probably trip the CEL.

Trinaia :

You should definitely bring your OBD2 reader out one Saturday . Most guys there have a general interest in this stuff and it would be cool to see you dump some codes. Besides we could see if the mechs reset Gregs CEL or if the erors are still in memmory.
