Default Carb tuning

I've rebuilt my Zenith carbs over the winter, and now I'm having a hell of a time getting them tuned. I can get a decent idle, but as soon as I put any throttle on I get tons of popping, both out the stacks and out the exhaust.

I'd like to get the car running properly by the weekend, because there's a lapping day at TMP I'd like to do.

Has anyone ever been to Autotech? (iautotech.ca) I left them a message yesterday but didn't hear back. Any other shops around here that can do carbs, and get me in this week?

Alternatively, if anyone has experience and would like to help, I'm happy to compensate for time with money, beer, dinner, etc. I'll come there, you come here, whatever you like.

Thanks!
Chris

Ah, ok, that would explain the non-returned message. Thanks.

Chris,

I have a carb tuning book that I think includes Zenith. I can check for you tonight if you like?

Hey Kirk. Thanks, but I've got all the documentation for Zeniths that's ever been published, as far as I know. What I need is someone who actually knows what they're doing (unlike myself) and can troubleshoot the problems. I followed all the procedures in the Haynes, 101 Projects, Zenith manual, common sense and logic, etc. and it just seems to get worse. Plus, I just don't have hours of time this week to spend troubleshooting.
