300 for that Canon sounds like a good deal. Its not the camera that matters so much its the lens.
It all depends on how far and what the subject and light conditions are, I've taken extremly nice photos with a 5meg point and shoot.

very true. another requirement is being able to take photos in a size large enough to be blown up to poster/wall banner size...having some additional megapixelage usually helps with that too.

gonna swing by Henry's this weekend 2 play around with stuff

LOL...seriously though, I'd go with the GT3 - the Cannon Turbo is a bit laggy.
