Default Leatt brace is in Calgary

WMM ( http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/app/ccc/se...=&language=eng )

has been appointed the Leatt brace ( http://www.leatt-brace.com ) distributor in Canada.

Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks in advance ...

Great... Now you have added another choice between the Isaac, Hans, and R3!!! This is going to be a difficult decision...

Have you considered the others yet? I am concernced what CASC and PCA will be doing about head restraints in the future. I think the Isaac is the best, but it is not SFI rated for a not so valid reason (IMHO).

Isacc -> http://www.isaacdirect.com/

Hans -> http://hansdevice.com/site/index.html

R3 -> http://www.safedrives.com/proddetail...straint&cat=82

Right now I am leaning towards the R3 because of the simplicity in set-up and the ability to easily switch cars.

cheers,
Patrick

When I said "them" above, I meant WMM - the Leatt (and supports in general) has been discussed extensively over in the Racing forum by people more qualified (and/or more outspoken) than I am.

I have had a Wright Device for years now - still, I suspect, the best bang for the buck out there (it is a publicly-available design that has been tested, so you can build it yourself).

MHO is that all the current designs rely on the helmet's chin strap to work plus an anchoring point (or points), so there are better places to spend my money before getting a better head/neck support, e.g., on a right-side Kevlar net (which I'm getting for next season), and then a new seat with "wings" (Recaro or Racetech).

That being said, if I had to buy a brace today, I'd probably buy a Hutchens Hybrid (from the same people that make the R3, I think).

YMMV.
