Default DIY’ers: Where to buy Pcar Stuff in Canada?

In talking to fellow Pcar owners, this topic always comes up. So, I thought I start a thread & I’ll get it pinned if it’s worthwhile. We all know the major US sources but where on this side of the border can you buy: Swepco, Redline Gear Oil, Mahle oil filters, silicone brake assembly lubes & all of the other odder lubes & fluids & parts, brake pads etc, etc – with special emphasis on older cars.

For example:

Redline Gear Oil (75w90NS for G50) - Bolt-On Performance, 12612 Highway 50 Bolton, ON (866) 426-5866 (I know Crappy tire has the oil but not gear oil)

Leatherique (leather restoring) - Leatherique Professional Restoration Products Of Canada Ltd. P.O. Box 14063, 2408 Lakeshore Blvd W. Toronto, Ontario Canada M8V 1GO. Tel: 416-577-6102

BTW Ian thanks for the tip on gluing my tail seal . I will be doing it this winter and see if I can fix that droopy mesh. I have some 3M weather strip adhesive left over from my engine pad.

The trick is to not stretch it. I initially tried that route & failed. See Tail Attempt

Start just left of bottom & glue it all the way around - following the curves & the channel at the side. Once it's all glued in place, you will have a gap at the bottom. You can buy some thin foam - screen door spline works because you can get it in a really small size & it looks almost identical - use this to bridge the gap.

I actually thought of leaving the gap to allow any water to drain, If it rains I figyur there might n=be some water left over that didn't leask inot the INSIDE of my car :-)

PS weather does not look good for tomorrow... may be a shut down day for me too.

Mantis almost always has all the little stuff in stock, and if not they can usually get it within a day or 2. They've always had an oil filter (including the copper washers) for both my 911 and 944, they've usually got ATE Superblue in stock, spark plugs, wiper blades, stuff like that. When I replaced my cap and rotor a couple weeks ago they needed 2 days to get it in, no big deal.

Great idea for a thread Ian!

I have purchased a:
AC Condensor & Dryer (OEM Parts)
Plugs, Filters, etc. etc. from the following & very happy with the price and service.
No buddy to call if you have a problem, but haven't had the need to call.
Looks like everything ships from Young Street Toronto.
Except for the Condensor, It came from Vancouver. Spend $75 Cdn and Freight is included.

Hope it helps someone

In addition to autopartsonlinecanada.com, there is also www.europartsetc.com. They have the same free shipping over $75. They have the exact same stuff (all comes from worldpac in the states), but sometimes their prices are cheaper. It pays to check both sites. There's also www.pythonparts.com. They don't have free shipping, but if you're ordering small stuff, they tend to be cheaper than either above. All three ship from Canada so no duties/brokerage....

If you compare prices with all of them you will find europartsetc.com is a little cheaper. They have most everything you need, plus if they don't have it in there web site they can get it else were if you phone them. Prices are much lower than the dealer plus you pay only one tax no duty fees or brok fees.

Default I also get stuff from

Markus Blaszak, Blaszak Motorsports in Kingston. He is a 944 racing specialist who is very fluent in 911 too.
Parts, fluids....all available through him and he is very competitive, and will ship anywhere.....
