However, if anyone wants to meet evenings, the place I perform at has an all

where do you perform and what do you play? There are a few (amateur) musicians at our GTG's (guitars for me and I know of at least one very decent pianist with a 993). Might be fun to come out, hear some good music and gaze at the scenery (Porsches of course!).

Hey, that's awesome that we have some musician's in our midst! I'm a composer (did my MMus at McGill) and a violinst and guitarist.
John, what studio do you operate? I did a quick google on your username, but came up empty. Too bad I didn't know that a week ago - I just booked our band in at a studio to record a cd. Could've given you some business!

I perform at Oregano Restaurant, on the North East corner of Finch and Highway 27.
Parking lot right in front.
Every Saturday from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM, eventhough last night it went up to 2:40 AM.
As to what I play, Santana, Eagles, Prince, Latin, etc, (I play many styles),
depending on requests.
Make a request, and I might learn it and play it for you. No wrap.
Out of curiosity, tell me your favorite songs, I may already play them.
It just crossed my mind to create a Porsche drink, and you get to keep the cup
with the Porsche logo.
As for the Studio, I just recorded RyanDan (previously B4Four). They were voted
"Most promising band in Canada" at the Canadian Juno Awards.
Studio is on Winston Churchill and Derry area (JDS Studios).

Are you a full time musician?
I used to perform with Ingrid Stitt (she played sax for Corey Heart, Candy, etc).
She was also a McGill grad.
I played in Hamilton at the Jockey's club, in the 80's, with a band called Pyramid.

Nope, I'm a full-time composer with a full-time day job, too (yes, I work insane hours!) and a 5-piece punk band on the side to boot. I don't recognize the name - I only graduated from McGill in 02, and I've only lived in the Hammer for about 3 years now - we used to live in Toronto and moved out to the 905 to buy a house.

Finale for acoustic, CEP 2.1 for electronic (yeah, I know it's old and outdated, but I haven't outgrown it and don't feel like shelling out for something new). What did you do for Steinberg? I've played a bit with Cubase SX in another studio and loved it.

For the winter, an 83 944. Come Friday, the insurance goes back on my 72 911. I've also got a 99 boxster, but it's for sale. Too modern and cushy for me!

Spotted: First 993 Turbo of the season, black SB on the DVP this AM. Althoguh I've seen/driven lots of 993's the first sighting of the season always gets me stoked.
It's great to be out in the P-car again too!
RK
PS. I'm a drummer - we should start a Rennlist GTA band and play at a Saturday evening GTG somewhere outdoors.
