Wow, glad you got out okay....sounds like it could have been a lot worse. Off topic, do you happen to know what was going on at Mosport last Sunday? I saw the following tweet from May 22nd fromPatrick Long and was surprised to see they were here:

Well I almost made it today...
Right rear tire blew out at 120kph on the QEW and then shredded the inside wall of the tire before I could get it pulled over. Went a little sideways when it went down and then banging and slapping. Ran over something but haven't a clue what it was. Used the CAA membership to have iit flat-bedded to Brent at Hunter motorsports. Looks like I'm doing both rears anyway as I had about 1mm left on the other rear anyway. Of course no one has these tires in stock on a Sat.
Things come in three's mode. Toyota down for new clutch, Mazda 5 down for new rear shocks and now P car. Down to one car now. Hope noth... Oh wait.

It was a good field - 44 cars in three classes. Spoiled by a late double yellow for a huge blow up (oil everywhere) that sent five cars spinning off in corner 9. Our own local Rennlist member Ernie from Mantis racing in his Cayman S was off into the gravel as a result of the oil.
The Caddy's look like they are going to get stronger and stronger.
This series is turning into a great one - like the old trans am days of the mid 60's where all the cars were modified stock and lot's of factory support.
Pat will be back in July for the ALMS race. (earlier this year then last years date)

anyone gonna be at the meet this weekend? i'm in town collecting my bike (f**king italians...rear brake locked up on me last week) and am thinking of stopping by on the way out.
