I saw your 996T get towed :(
Yesterday I was strolling near Queen/Spadina (Toronto)
when I spotted a Silver 996 Turbo getting preped for towing.
That is a real nice looking car, BTW.
Anyway, turns out the car was parked on Queen street
at about 4:00pm. That's a big risk, as the tow truck
drivers are known to swarm as soon as rush hour
begins.
They actually made a quick getaway with the turbo,
to a side street where they could fasten the car
properly, out of sight of the unfortunate owner.
I you are the owner, I guess you can mitigate
the pain with the knowledge that they spent
about 25 minutes fastening your car "correctly".

I've seen them do it here in downtown Calgary as well. There will be 3 or 4 tow trucks ready, and at the stroke of 4pm, they line up and wisk the cars away. They don't mess around....

probably be a little more bummed.
The operators (yes there were two) spent a considerable amount
of time to just toss a few coasters under the fronts, then elevated
it's *** and off they went.
BTW, have fun at your gathering tomorrow, I hope to make it out
to the next one.
Go Leafs Go (just kidding ... it would be nice though)

Ever watch "Repoman"? Some of those cars take a beating when they are looking for a quick getaway. You hear the tires screeching and smoking because the differentials/trannies are locked up.
Sometimes they drag the car for a block before they stop to put a dolly underneath.

I've seen this in downtown Toronto, where they towed a SUV around the corner before towing it "properly".

Chris .
I do feel for you living in Ottawa having to support that team ... I absolutely hate those clowns .. however I must say I just love your choice in Avatars... just don't tell me it's your sister or anything :-)
