Question When are you taking her out???

It's been an extremely long winter. Usually, I take my p-cars out around March 17, but this year winter doesn't seem to end!

Now I'm planning on putting her back on the roads around the 1st of April, but I have doubts I will be able to do that...

When are you guys taking her out?

Aaarrgghh......the most agonizing decision of the year........we've had a pretty mild winter here in Calgary and I think if the forecast hits +10 this weekend as it is supposed to, I will start driving the car.........it's dry here..........but winter has been threatening to give us one last blast for the last few days and can't seem to make up it's mind !!!!

I never put it away!!! Maybe it's my B.C. upbringing, but when there is no salt on the roads and it's dry out, why not drive the car??? This winter was mild enough that I really didn't put the car into storage mode for more than a week or two at most.

Still deep in the white crap here in Saskatoon, so at least another couple of weeks.

Never left. As much as I hate the lack of snow, and all the rain, Vancouver does have it's perks.

My car stays insured year-round, so that when that nice day hits, it's very easy to head out for a nice, relaxing drive.

I'd go nuts if I didn't.

I take it out from time to time all winter long. As long as it's dry.

I too target March 17th every year as I historically have always looked forward to that date ( my birthday ) to get my motorcycle out. But it seams for the last 2 decades or so we are seeing a shift in Climate and winters are moving. It is not unusual now to see a snow storm in April. In the past you would see the street sweepers out in late March and that was a must before rolling out the bike. I keep the same attitude with my Porsche so it will be a few weeks yet for me .

The other thing for me that I would like an opinion on is the mean temperature, as I have an air cooled variety and don't run in winter I leave thicker oil in it ( 20w 50 ) that means I have to wait until it is warmer to start running her. I imagine in general the later water cooled cars would get cranked up earlier in the year because they run thinner oils. Does this make sense ?
