Question Importing Car Parts

Hey guys,

Does anyone know how much duty I will have to pay if I bring a transmission across the border? I am planning to bring the transmission across the border myself rather than have it shipped.

Thanks

I'm surprised there is duty involved here. When I ship parts from US (Fedex or US mail) I get charged taxes only.
P.s. actually there is an additional fee, but it's small.

^ yeah i think the companies charge a brokerage fee

don't use UPS they're such a rip off. their brokerage fees are pretty substantial..even for small packages they ding you good...they've screwed me constantly. fedex i got no complaints about...
best company i've dealt with so far is DHL.
