Default Shop recommendation?

My 993 has the dreaded smoking exhaust problem, most likely caused by a faulty oil filter. What shop do you recommend for a simple oil change? The shop needs to have fresh inventory of parts since the oil filter needs to be the latest update.

I am thinking of using Downtown Fine Cars since it's close to where I live, any feedback, positive or negative about your experience there would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Farzaan

There are many reputable shops in the GTA. Some, for example are:

Fiorano in Woodbridge,
G-Tek in DVP/Lawrence area,
HP Cars in Vic Park and Lawrence area,
many in the west end, etc, etc.

If you do get Downtown Porsche to do the work, at least ask fror Brian to work on your car. He's probably their best.

Auto Select in Newmarket is highly recomened by my car's PO
The car was serviced there for the last 6 year, the car is real tight.

Please do not take your car to DDFC. I have had dreaded service with them ever since I bought this car. Even routine work like oil changes go wrong with them.

I now go to HP in Scarb and it is always worth the trip.

Thanks guys, took the car to g-tek, Jack was great. Car runs fine again, guess it was a bad oil filter check valve.
