Can't do crap to modern cars without tripping the computer.

Good old days were Darknights and ImportFest...

In my opinion, younger folks aren’t obsessed with cars like the we were/are.. I was dreaming and scheming of how to get the car I wanted and how to mod it from before I could legally drive. I don’t see that excitement or yearning from the next generations. Maybe I’m not close enough to it but my nephews and my oldest son have me thinking the hobby is doomed..

Younger folks will be interested in the virtual cars they grew up with, from driving them in their games. Mitsubishi EVO, Subaru STI, HELLCAT. Not Macan option in GTA.
It was senior welcome day in the spring. All the grade 12's welcomed the students arriving one warm spring day. They didn't care about the Benz or the Bentley at the curb. They fought furiously to take a picture of my wife dropping off the kid in the STi RA.

Classic car ownership is being sold as a lifestyle and living that lifestyle. There are various outlets that say if you don’t daily drive some 30 year old Volvo ur a loser. Then you have buy our lifestyle gear, buy our stickers attend these meets. Ive literally had people tell me they bought their car because some youtuber told them too and they are wearing the tshirt..

cars usually peak about 30 to 40 years after production. the cars the guys wanted in high school they can finally afford when 40 to 50 years old so they bid them up then after house paid off and kids school is done.

Looking at my teens & early 20's nephews, "wrenching" refers to computers and video games, not cars.
Those with cars don't care. If the car breaks down...call mom.
