2020 GT4
Maybe they want it gone before the snow flies and test drives become an issue.
GT4 is such a wonderful car to own. Fun. Engaging. Bulletproofish. No drama or anxieties. Well priced to buy and fix versus almost anything else.

vin lookup says original MSRP on that car was $126610
and for giggles I looked up black book wholesale on it - $97160 (taken with a grain of salt, but probably close to what they paid out)
if you wanted a low spec low mile GT4 with buckets in a manual….
and yes, I agree compared to especially a new 911 - veeeeery different cars.
I love manual.
I love buckets.
and I especially love mid engine cars - I’d take the GT4 all day long.

Buckets and manual is what I’m after. What sort of negotiation room do dealers have with these cars?

Early 718 GT4 prices (as well as GTS 4.0 Cayams/Boxsters) have dropped considerably in the past 90 days. (As a dealer, I track/monitor wholesale prices and dealer trades pretty much daily on all the Porsche sports cars from 991/981 forward.) That $139k ask is middle-of-the-road retail for a lightly optioned, 6-speed sport buckets car. Assuming no overrevs and a clean Carfax, probably a good buy but not a great buy.

For reasons unrelated to the GT4 market I'd definitely hold off on buying a used 718 GTS 4.0...prices will continue to soften in my view. GT4 is a tougher call; low-mile, one-owner, no-stories manual cars with buckets and CPO will be snapped up in the spring as soon as they hit the market...and may well be priced higher than they are currently. In my view we've already passed peak market for the many multi-owner "storied" or higher-mile GT4s, and those prices may continue to soften. If you're shopping for a GT4 to own and drive for a while, and find a car that ticks all your boxes at a price you consider reasonable, buy it. Another one may not come along for a while, if at all (says the man who passed on the PERFECT 981 Sypder in 2019 at $125k).
Just understand that black book value and what they paid out/delta for negotiation may mean zero to a selling dealer.
Often they have no problem sitting on these units for months/seasons - especially low mile 1 owner.
Again, to be taken with a grain of salt….. if you want a GT4. And, that one checks all your boxes…… you shoot your shot and see what they wanna do.
If the deal isn’t to your liking, you walk away and that’s that.
Halifax is more concerned with selling Macan’s than a saucy GT4 - but, it’s now November and it’s price is very reasonable - the 1 owner low mile is worth “X” dollars (lots to me fwiw)
I went thru this when buying my R8.
Man, it got ugly but I got the best car and no intent to sell it so the money paid was worth it - ‘to me’.
Everyone has their own set of expectations.
If you are a cash buyer, I’d see what they say.
I’m a touch surprised that it’s not listed as a CPO car, where some other examples are…… That would be a question to ask - why not a CPO car, and what cost to make it one……
cheers
