More impressions:

- Love shifting that PDK with the gear selector in manual. It bangs gears perfectly!
- In the bumpy fast corners it skips around a bit but the handling is pretty laser and sharp
- It feels like it’s going slower than it is with the top down so far. Hides its speed.
- HVAC comes on automatically every time I jump back in and start it? (Top down)
- Brakes are new but maybe they need to break in more, but I feel the initial bite is less than my TTS. Feels like the SRS needs more pedal pressure to come really activate the brakes.
- With two people the top is extremely easy and quick to put on (Bimini, not the completely water proof part yet)
- Acceleration is great, the car has the perfect balance of power for the street.
- Front axle lift is needed, I did do a tiny rub coming out of a parking lot that I thought would be fine.
- Suspension is perfect for the road! Not too stiff not too soft. It almost feels a touch softer than my TTS with sport package.

I’ve never been in an open top car and I am really enjoying it! Being out in the elements blasting around, the experience is great. I have about 360km on it now, we put the Bimini top on last night and it was surprisingly very warm, no wind, but it does make that intake even louder lol.

With the top on the car looks great still, they did a good job on the lines.

Would love to hear some other Canadian owners impressions?

How’s the top sound / flapping with the bimini mode only, at freeway speed?

I can't recall noticing that, but I had the windows down so maybe that is why? Also the intakes are louder with it, so harder to hear. The top is pretty snug, but there is a tiny bit of play to it.

SRS VS Stage 4 TTS: Driving the SRS for 400km now and haven't touched the Turbo... Finally cleaned out the garage today and made room for the SRS.. We picked up the TTS and brought it home. Jesus, what a difference in power, the TTS is just ridiculous is the only way to put it. TTS is basically double the HP, but its just insane how hard it pulls and the torque!

HVAC defaulting to on is a 991/981 trait.

You have no idea how many times I heard 911 owners say at a show or at a drive gathering that a Cayman/Boxster/Spyder/GTS/GT4 is not a "Real" Porsche

Real Porsches don't have rear seats.

They are right!

911 after 997 are also in that category

When I started working full time in 1986, Porsche ran an ad in Motortrend magazine offering test drives in a 944 if you sent in your business card. I was a recent grad IE at Canada Packers, so I sent mine in. They sent me a nice boxed 944 model car with a brochure and contact info to set up a test drive. I couldn’t afford the car then, but a few years later I mentioned that I was thinking about getting a 944 to a girl that I was dating. Her response was, “0h, the poor man’s Porsche”’. I was never able to shake that comment

That fact that a young girl back then even knew that is impressive in itself...

Not a real Porsche they say? Don't let them watch this. It would be cruel.

Finished up a rally in the SRS, what a great time, the weather was perfect, 30c and blue skies! We have about 2300km on it now, its a fun car and such a cool experience.

We ended the rally at Mountain Motorsports park in southern AB. We did 15mins of laps behind an instructor, nothing full out, but we pushed a pretty good pace. The car doesn't even blink at those corners. Extremely balanced and the exit speed is fantastic.

The GT3 engine doesn't have a ton of torque, so you can get on the throttle pretty heavily on exit and let it sing. I was expecting the car to have a bit of understeer or perhaps over, maybe a bit of tire noise, nothing, it was just planted and went where you told it... I do not have enough skill to push it hard, that's for sure!
