Seems like many 911's are sitting on the lot and not moving especially used one. What generation of 911 base or S variant can be had for sub 100K in today's used 911 market? anyone have idea or guess?

996, 997, 991.1 depending on mileage and condition.

991.1 and 991.2
Needles to say, you should be able to find a better equipped 991.1 for under $100K than 991.2
As with most Porsches those with higher mileage and documented service history are your best bets value wise!

I’ve seen sub 100K 991.2, base with high mileage.
The base is very popular as it shares the same engine with its more expensive siblings and can be tuned to exceed 450hp.

good to know. But this make me very concern about buying a reliable used 991.2 in the market. Any seller could tune the car and drive the **** out of it and detune back and sell it to the next buyer without disclosing about tuning.
