Here, also. I bet a common-or-garden 911 could go faster than a VIA Rail train.
When I went to pick up my 993, the 4:00 hour train ride turned into 5:50 with just 10 minutes to get to the licencing office.
VIA Rail did hit just under 160 kph at one point. A high speed train in Canada would be so nice here. I'd take it.
I do this fairly regularly....old vid here of a fairly high speed run at 4am on a Sunday morning many years ago:....also another trip with 7.1RS there...........

Not something I would do at night. Too risky with critters and long range visibility.
The driver in the video I posted had very light traffic with a car here and there and without a need to pass, therefore less of a chance of them changing lanes. I know on the A3 there it far too much traffic. The A9 towards Munich where it widens to three lanes, maybe. I'd want a buffer.

Was actually a deliberate choice; no trucks on the autobahn on a Sunday and 4am meetup., ( was near Weisskirchen) and the other M6 ahead of me was a local buddy who is German and familiar with the strip we chose, so I let him run a bit ahead of me for that drive. Both cars had been delimited at Hartge prior to the run and had brand new tires properly rated for the speed.
