Default A Tale of Two Targas

Pickups aren't the only vehicles that are becoming bloated. From the Feb 24 Panorama:

The frontal area of my 2022 Boxster just a little more than that of my 1975 Trans Am. Trans Am is 2 ft longer, though

Here's a few more

911 and TA - most perfect dashboards

A few more. Compared to porsches of any era, american cars of this era were crude devices, but a lot of fun

cleaned up, and a few bits painted, but otherwise original. Note metallic racing cats

I've since reoriented the pipe clamps to have them consistent

I had a 74 TransAm for a few years , it was a fun car.
Headers and American Racing mags with BF Goodrich Radial TA tires …
Was too young and dumb at the time to maintain my cars , sure wish i would have kept some of them !

Cheers
Phil

Small Porsches are jewel-like compared to today's boats, got to love'em. But bloated may be better in the end ...

An Automotive photographer who was testing the new Targa for the weekend flagged me down on the highway to take some pics. The size difference is quite substantial even with my car with the wider flares.
