Default Anyone know this 991.2 at Porsche Oakville?

I'm in the market for a 991.2 C2S or possibly C4S and this white one at Porsche Oakville was recently listed and checks all my boxes. Anyone have any insight into it?

Service history looks complete and it has remaining CPO warranty from when it was purchased in May which is good but not good is that it was just traded back in. 2017 Carrera S

Thanks

Damn I owned one just like that (except with brown interior), paid $134k in 2018 and it had 3000 km on the counter. Crazy how I sold it for so much less in 2020 than what they're asking now.

What is crazy is that people are willing to pay what they are asking!

When does the current CPO warranty expire? Seems odd they are selling it without adding additional CPO, otherwise warranty likely expires very soon?

That and the fact that it is a 3 owner car would give me some pause. If they were to add another 2 years of CPO that would change things IMO.

This car was sold to the third owner in May ‘23 as a CPO. PCO says that they “didn’t realize” it had that when they listed it but apparently it does and it expires June ‘25.
The explanation for the quick trade was a change to a newer model.

I think I’ll continue the hunt.

4k for 2 additional years of CPO. I think it can be added before expiry but only factor of having last service at the dealer. I'm told oil changes at home are OK though.

In that case it does have the CPO extended... original warranty would have ended 2021 (roughly) and 2 years of CPO would have been in 2023. If there is warranty until 2025 that is another 2 years of CPO extension which would make me feel better about it. Just seems odd that it isn't advertised on the PCO site that it is Certified Pre-Owned as that is usually an important part of the listing.

If it has complete service history from new at a Porsche dealer, CPO warranty, the right options + colours, and the price is in the ballpark worth strongly considering IMO. Oakville tends to list their cars on the higher side too so perhaps some room to negotiate.

I have personally still not seen any examples where Customer X walks into a dealer and says, yes that GT4RS at $x looks great, here is my offer of $x - $30K and the dealer says, "here are the keys". I would love to see some real examples of these asking prices not being realistic...

I never said that people aren't paying current asking prices. After experiencing over 30 years of buying cars that have depreciated substantially, I find it crazy that people are willing to pay appreciating (or slightly depreciated) prices like they are currently.

The pricing on a lot of the used 911s does seem a little crazy but it seems to be the price of admission these days. Fortunately I’m not financing and would seriously have to reconsider the purchase if I was contemplating doing so at 10+%.

While a couple dealers I’ve reached out to have been firm in their asks, one told me they are willing to negotiate in their used 911 inventory and two others have recently reduced their asking prices so maybe the market is beginning to turn a little or maybe it’s just end of season pricing.

Prices seem to be dropping on cars that are a couple years old like 991.2's but they still aren't moving. 997's still seem to be holding strong. I am looking for a 997 GTS but the price delta to a 991.1 or 991.2 almost doesn't seem to justify the 997.

Because they're bought by kids of rich government officials of certain foreign country...
