Well…that final charge didn’t work…so 1 new battery later and we were finally back on the road today. Turned 37,000 miles on our cruise tonight!

Brought the boxster home from it's long winter sleep tonight....

17 yr old driving it for the 1st time. Started up right away, a bit of brake rust to scrub off the rotors, but it's good now.

Pleasant surprise, insurance was quoted as only ~$70/month by Desjardin/Certas... will check again tomorrow. Also going to take the Audi q7 TDI off the road for a month and see how that goes. Calling in the morning to put road insurance on hold. Working on dog shuttling capacity in the new EV Bimmer...

I am sure that was a thrill for a 17 year old!.
Dog shuttling capacity is a very important item for me also , so I always check the height of the rear space, not just the cubic capacity. Don't need the legendary 4"x8" plywood sheet, just space for a Great Dane

Calling the insurance company Pete - that sounds very 1998'ish :-) I was actually pleasantly surprised when I found out that I could put any of our insured vehicles in storage with a couple of mouse clicks (I believe 45 day minimum though) - of course after doing so I receive a plethora of paperwork in the mail confirming the change and price reduction.

Who is your insurance provider? I wish I could do that with Intact and Hagerty, but everything is by phone.

I'm with The Personal - group insurance provider and a sub of Desjardins.

Yeah, there was some confustion on putting the Boxster on the road.
I spoke to the agent on Friday asking to put the road insurance on for this past Sunday. - $70
I spoke to a different employee at the Insurance Agent today to confirm that we would like to try the q7 off the road, and got an update on all our insurance prices.... He said the Boxster was $48. I asked him to double check.

Anyways just got a email from agent and he says the confusion was due to the fact that my policy renews the 1st week of June. At renewal it is $58.

I am trying to get signed up for online access to my insurance, but stuck at resetting password stage.

Vehicles at household

15 q7 - away in storage - $15/month fire theft
15 Golf TSi - 20 yr old daughter - $237/month - previous claim
01 Boster S - ~50yr old me - $58
23 BMW i4m50 - 29yr old (and holding) wife $106
00 Miata - 17yo son = $151
$3 million umbrella - $41

Worked in the garage for the past 2 days, trying to make room for 3 cars, plus a couple bikes in the garage....

Finally got 3 of my vehicles in the garage... Daughter's Golf is the lone vehicle on the driveway now....

Still have a bit more tidying up to do which will happen tomorrow. Got 3 large garbage bags of junk, stuff that hasn't been touched since we moved in over 17 yrs ago, ready to go to the dump.

Was extra late getting the old 911 back on the road this spring, as I had to finish some work on it. Finally managed to finish up last weekend and get it out for the first drive of the year:

Petee, your garage looks really spacious... nice to have room beside the cars to work.

No matter how spaciious it is, you always run out of room....

Contemplating building a 12x8' shed in the backyard as I realize that although both kids are away at school in the fall.... likely they will be back for a few years when they are done until housing prices settle down.

Just got back from a 20 min topdown ride in the Porsche through the country on the only roads with curves near me... it was nice... sun was behind the clouds, and it was just 'warm', not the usual sweaty crack hot it's been.

Spring clean up in my solitary confinement garage. One of our three garden sheds is now full of parts. I will ask for forgiveness when she notices.

Sharks have had fluid changes and are ready to roll.

Nice Miata!
Is that a NA or NB? I had a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata back in the day, and it was so much fun to drive it around.
