I got thinkdiag-2 last year while it was on sale, it had been sitting on my shelf. I haven't tried it since I didn't have the need for it so I didn't want to start my 1 year free subscription until I need it

Why would you leave a scanner, especially on a seat, in a parked car? You don't leave your wallet on the seat, do you?

If you own ANY Porsche buy this THINKDIAG-2
You will not be disappointed I Gaurantee it and so does Amazon.
Well since you own one of these and we all know that diagnostic testers promise you the world, will the THINKDIAG-2 perform an engine coolant fill or an ABS brake fluid bleed in the same manner like the PIWIS.

For example will it do a battery registration where the user can enter the Ah capacity instead of picking from a drop-down menu of capacities that are sort of close as I have seen on some tools.

You mean you have to pay for subscriptions? And are these subscritions for upgrades or will the unit not work after the year runs out?

I have Piwis3, Mars hooked me up with it. Works awesome!

I can confirm, oil change and maintenance stuff can only be reset via piwis3. I just did it on my '23 TTS.

If anyone needs the piwis and you're local, we can arrange something.

And this clone I would assume costs how much?

The items you mentioned can be reset with other tools.

Made by RossTech and only for VW group vehicles (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda...) but not Porsche.

I contacted the owner Uwe at Roos-Tech years ago and asked if he would produce a diagnostic dongle for Porsche. Due to the low numbers in Porsche compared to the VW group vehicles, it wasn't worth his time. But if you YouTube his battery registration amongst other things you can do with VCDS, it was unbeatable for the $287 I remember paying for it.
