Default Lux Tax, a new year...

So it doesn't look like Luxury tax has caught up to the used market. Most cars over $100k selling for the same price or less, with a huge gap in new inventory.

Predictions? Experiences?

My $0.2. I've been watching 992 prices for a while now. Anything listed high has been sitting for months. 1 green 992 came for $135k sold within a week. Every time I visit P dealer in GTA , at any given point they have tons of pre-owned options. Pfaff Leasing has been 9.99% lease rate. Higher rates inevitably means lower prices. Just a matter of time

I would think that a fairly recent used car with would be expensive as the equivalent new car would be carrying the lux tax.

A lot of manufacturers still have full order books and long waits for new models so I don't expect used prices to implode anytime soon.

Same, been watching for a bit now (mainly S/4S variants) See the same ones sitting for a few months now. More shocked at the asking prices on the base models, though. Been coming across multiple 2020 base and base 4 asking north of 160k. Yikes.

Always good to not confuse ask with sell price though :-) There are multiple cottages on the lake where my in-laws are that are listed for north of $3M, which pre-COVID would have been in the $1.2M'ish range. Not comparing the R/E market to the car market but I guess you can ask whatever you want!!!

Yes definitely. Guess all you can do is pull up the window sticker and start from there lol.
