Anyone have experience in Canada using a car broker for a new vehicle purchase?

I've been on a list for a BMW i4M50 EV for 363 days so far, and no idea when I'll be put into queue for production. Is there another avenue besides my local BMW dealer?

This is my 1st new car purchase in over 20yrs.

 

My wife used Jim Davidson to purchase her BMW 3 series Touring in 2016. She has owned a number of BMWs and had always used the same salesperson.
She was referred to Jim by a client who uses him and compared his price (at the same dealership) to the one offered by her salesperson.
Surprise... she ordered it through Jim as it was several thousand less and Jim knew that if it was delivered in a certain month, there would be an additional rebate at time of delivery.
Even better, Jim delivered it to our door.
