Also in Cabbagetown and can attest that the Pizza in Salt + Tobacco is very good. It it not really a sit-down place, and I would say it is 95% takeout.
If you want some Inexpensive Indian food properly prepared, Haldi in Parliament Street is good.

I went there a month ago. It's still the same, last time I was there was in the 90's

Victory Burger
Rudy's
Burger's Priest
Five Guys - just going to say it because I do sometimes just want all those toppings.
We have 3 of those closeby that we go to regularly (Rudy's, Victory and Five Guys). That's the order i'd go to if I was forced to but they all co-exist in harmony.

For those of us in Cabbagetown, Dova for fine dining and The House on Parliament (aka The HOP) for deluxe pub fare.
Our area has one of the largest surviving Victorian era home districts in Canada and the gardens are just coming into bloom. A great neighborhood walk and always fun to visit the Riverdale farm to see the new baby goats and sheep.

As for Burger Priest, that is usually our go to spot (the original at Queen + Coxwell) but I didn't include them as the quality could potentially vary given the number of locations. Assume everyone has tried them too as they are everywhere.

I like King's Drive-In on Pape for a burger . Feels like a 1950s place, you can phone in your order ten minutes beforehand and sit in the parking lot. Also has great onion rings . They have outdoor seating. and not part of any chain.

For an old school experience I like the homemade banquet burger at Square Boy, used to live nearby and it was always a great hangover cure. Place hasn't changed in 30+ years if not longer.

Seems like we should have a C&B...cars & burgers.
Guys making me want to drive into TO to try these burgers this season.

Maybe we can do a modest cars and burgers meet at Rudy in Etobicoke across from the Ikea. They have a small parking lot that could fit a few cars.

You should try Square Boys on Danforth just east of Jones, same decor from the 70's. Best take-out souvlaki, I've been going there off and on since the 80's. That's one place I'm going to miss when we move to Guelph in July

Totally hijacked Matt's thread haha (Sorry!)
How about we find a nice sunny afternoon/evening sometime in May?
