Has anyone any experience with tow hook or non drill licence plate holders for 718s with parking sensors? Am I doomed to drive around with my front plate on my dash? do the police bother you about this BTW?
Carbonios make a no-drill bracket that pretty much goes in the same place as the factory mount so I would imagine it would work with front parking sensors. You can see a picture:
I used a Rho Plate v2 on my 991.1 GTS as I needed something that could drop down to clear the parking sensor. Worked very well as there are lots of mounting options so worth a look... have since moved it over to my RS and still works great.
The Carbonio mount for the 718 offers the slimmest receiver of any mount on the market. This allows for a nice centered mounting while appearing almost invisible when the plate assembly is removed. Check out these photos both with and without the mount installed and you'll see how discreet it is. Bear in mind that these images were taken at plate height. At standing height the receiver is invisible.

I'm looking for something to use on my 2002 911 Turbo. I know you have a location in Toronto and would be willing to bring my car to test fit one of you mounts. However the Chris's Mustang Universal one is almost half the price of yours and taking that into consideration. Even though it has to be shipped from the US to Canada it still works out to be less expensive.
The Mustang mount does cost less but you get less too. Our mount is adjustable for angle and projection allowing for a more tailored fit. It is also powder coated in semi-gloss black giving a nice clean OEM look. Lastly our receiver mount is discreet and low profile when the plate is removed while the other leaves behind an exposed male thread. I'm not knocking their product but the differences are worthy of pointing out so that you can make an informed decision.
Yes we are in Toronto and we have many plate mounting options that could fit your car. Feel free to contact us if you want to come by as our office is not a drop-in facility.

I do agree that the powder coat is nice. However it doesn't take much to paint their aluminum bracket and the thread to before it's installed. If it's mounted far enough back it won't be seen.
I've been emailing back and forth with Robert already. Robert said he was at Pfaff last week looking at the 996. I'd be happy to make arrangements after I pick up my car from them and bring it to see what mount would work best. It's probably easier to bring the car there and test fit, than trying to guess what might work when you don't have mounts available to test fit.
Contact us and come by when you get your car. We will be happy to show you the options and maybe we'll even end up with a new application that could help others. If at the end you want to buy the other one no hard feelings. You are welcome to do whatever you feel is best for you and your car.

If you're willing to work with me, test fit till we see what works and I can help you out with a new application. Maybe we can work something out and it's WIN WIN for both of us.
I'm in Oshawa, what part of the GTA are you located?
