2017 991 tire life?

I think you MIGHT get 40K on a pair of P0 or PS4S if you are driving Ms. Daisy to the market, back and forth. With some Pcar owners, even if you can get 12k, the tires would crack and rot before then. While shopping, seeing 997 with like 10-15k was just like "do you ever drive this thing?"

is this in km or miles? I'm going to assume in km and PS4S 50k km is 31k miles. You would be hard pressed to find any owner of a 911, no matter how gently driven, to get 31k miles off a set of rear tires that are not rotated and exclusively driven on even plain roads. Forget the guys/gals that run the track, to even get 25k on them I think would be a miracle. Tire ratings have always historically been over ambitious. I rotate tires on my MDX religiously and for tires rated 60k miles, I can barely get 40k. I do not expect any tires I get for my 911, P0 or PS4S, to get 20k. And if you ever went to claim the warranty, Michelin will ask were they ever rotated (which you can't), did you drive them off road, harshly, etc. and try to show some reason for why they did not last. Then on top of that, it's a prorated limited warranty, so you'd be lucky to get $50 back.

When I had my 997, I was about 15k for the rears and 20k for the fronts.
And I always tried to have the next set in the garage, ready for instal.
So I was always shopping for that “deal”.
I always seem to pay too much, when I NEED them.
Always the best price when you’re not looking...

It's all a game and we all know what we have to do to get the $. I don't even bother any more with warranty and just live with fact that the life for tires is never going to be as advertised.

Great tires so far. I just replace these Yokos more often instead of wearing the Michelins down to the cords trying to get my moneys worth out of them.
