not to mention they disappear in mere minutes in a house fire...

i bought my house which i had built in 93. 2700 square foot 2 story home ..
walked through it at the framing stage and just could not believe the amount of wood in it , quite an amazing site really.
move ahead 10 years the house behind me on on street caught fire ( same model ) . the fire dept is less than 2 km away.
By the time they got there it was fully engulfed and all they could really do was stop the neighbors houses from catching fire ... i couldnt help but think back to my days walking through my house and remembering all the wood as i watched it burn..
no one hurt , just property damage.
