Cayman S 987,2 Inspection -
Took the car in yesterday for spring service In Toronto - (dealer) new battery, brake flush, oil / filter and pollen + FULL inspection done as car is CPO and wanted to get a view of things before any mods done ...
I was allowed to come in and inspect myself - this car has never seen snow ! The bolts on the undercarriage would have all been rusted according to the service tech who has been there for 30 yrs !
Super clean car - I got lucky I guess. Ready for for next stage - mods from Soul arriving month end and then a good cut and polish and were ready to hit the road. Until then we drive b/c there is little else that gives this kind of pleasure.
Enjoy the wk its going to be great weather, Cheers, Abe

Glad car checked out Abe and you have it back on the road. Because the car was from Calgary, it could well have been driven in winter and not show rust on the undercarriage like an Ontario or Quebec car would. The 987.2 I sold last November also had no overt signs of being winter driven, but actually was used 6 of the 7 winters we had it.

Thank you ! I still have Porsche Calgary plate holders on the car - they were gentleman and I appreciated that. Hope your well and enjoying your C4 - a wonderful example !

55 yrs young and still working it ! Jeez hw old do I sound ? I need to change it up a bit. Let me know when you put the headers on + tune. I anxiously await my parts to come I hope by end of March ! No snow here - it was a super day aside from the nice bill I got from the dealership but I needed the car inspected before the mods so it is what it is ...

Haven’t seen that color before. Definitely a good color. You have more pictures?

I'm just messing with you Abe.
That car looks great. You must have independent Porsche shops in your area....
Rare to bring a car of our heritage to the dealer unless no indy around to help.
Be well!

It was a Porsche Dealer but I know a few guys there including one of the owners so it helps ... otherwise I don't think they would let a fly in that bay. Did a serious inspection on my own and took tons of pics ... never know - always good to have them.

Downtown Porsche in Toronto - if you go ask for Brian he has been a tech there for 30 yrs - he knows these cars inside and out. Inspection is an hourly rate but had service done oil, filters, brake flush, new battery etc ...

pS what made you choose Soul as your first mod? Are you doing exhaust or headers?

the 3.4 is great out of the box, but if you do some digging with the tuners the first mods to do are ECU and headers for decent gains.
Anything beyond that on the 3.4 will mostly lighten your wallet.
