Changed the plugs on my Cayman S back in June 17' (major service complete: air filters, oil change, brake flush, belt change and spark plugs) at 45,000 km now the car has 61,000.
Should I be doing a full service again in June as per the Porsche service interval given that the prior was done 15k ago ? I am also thinking about doing a transmission flush regardless.
Most spark plugs with iridium or platinum tips last 160K kms. Copper core ones last about 60-70K kms. As stated above, follow what the owner's manual states.
Several of these intervals change depending on what year your car is. US plug changes are 40K miles or four years for 981s.I've had service advisors tell me six years is the max they wanted to see for plugs The rare chance of the plugs seizing in the block is the concern. I would not change the plugs now, but would not risk more than six years. PDK flush is 120K miles or 12 years. By Porsche standards you are overdue for a brake flush, every two years. It is becoming more common to test the moisture content in the brake fluid than just change based on age.
I'd find a good independent to do these maintenance items: oil change and brake flush. Finding one that will let you bring your own fluids and parts is a plus.
