Default Jasper, Lake Louis, Banff this weekend

Hello,

Looking forward to my annual September trip through the Rocky Mountains. Friday to Sunday, starting in Jasper and ending in Banff. Anyone in the area would like to together and go for a Spiritual run for a hr or two, half day. Planning on putting 2000kms from Edmonton on some very fun, winding Scenery mountain roads which I’m very familiar with! Perfect weather set up for 3days of full sunshine, no rain, 20c highs and 8c lows.

Enjoy the end of this forgettable 2020 while we still can...

lol, Any radar or popo on 93? only once over the years I noticed a cruiser on there.

93 is spectacular and world known. But there’s so much more to add to that trip. Malign road up to Malign lake and back, 1A from lake Louise to Banff, lake Minnewanka road loop is a lot fun. It’s only 60km to its very winding roads and turns but when pushing it 80/90km or so, very exciting. But all of this will be done with caution, safety and respect for others on road.

So many people drive white and black Ford Explorers in Alberta. From 500m away it's kinda hard to tell whose who. I think I need new brakes from slamming on them all the time.

we are! Even so I do numerous trips out there throughout the year for Flyfishing ( truck). Twice a year with the 911 just isn’t enough.

Drove it about three weeks ago on a Sunday, didn't have to worry about the speed limit. The traffic was very slow with lots slow moving RV's. Left Jasper on the following Thursday at 4:00PM, much better but still had some slow motorhomes. The road is spectacular and the new surface is fantastic.

Things were quite, with very little traffic. Weekend after labour long is always a pleasant experience with all the roads to yourself. Try taking 1A east from lake Louise next time. It’s quite the experience!
