Default Price of tires in Canada

Anyone notice price of tires go up big time. Have to buy two rears and now they want nearly 600 a tire when they used to be 400 or less

I have noticed the same, especially with the large sizes (rears).

I got a set of Kumho PS91 in 19s for my 997 C4 for $900 - highly recommend them thus so far.

16’s are still cheap as long as the sizes are available. I just put new tires on an 86 928 with 16’s and they were $550 all in. Non staggered set.

I guess I am going to have to go with these cheaper brands now. Only get 10-15k on a set of rear tires. Also found some Falken Azenis FK510 that are cheap but I still have to go with PS2 until my fronts are worn out.

On the 86.5 it got 225/50 on all 4. I put Firestone Firehawk Indy500's on it. I have that same tire on my 87 and on my Golf R. So far I like them better than the Continental Extreme Contact Sports and I had previously on the 87. I go through rear tires on my 87 in about 10-15k as well. The Firestones in 225/40/18 and 275/35/18 were just over 1k all in from tires 23.

That firestone tire is a rebranded Bridgestone Potenza RE003.

This is what I got at the end of April, at the same-ish price.

PS2 are garbage. PS4S perform better and would've been less
