Hello everyone,
Nice to meet you all! A bit background about myself...I use to own a 335i and was looking to purchase a c63s. But due to covid and delays in production I’m looking at other options. I’ve always been a fan of Porsche’s - never driven one but I heard great things about them. Anyways, I came across this lightly used cayman s here: https://www.porschecentreoakville.co...hite+34011389?
The price seems too good to be true.... I was wondering if there’s any red flags I should look out for? I understand it’s a 2019 car which is almost 2 years old. But I’m wondering why it’s so cheap. Do you guys think there’s any wiggle room in price given the current pandemic? I’m also on planning to keep this car long term (5+ years) so I’m not sure about long term reliability with these things...
I appreciate any advice. Thanks!

That doesn't seem cheap to me and Oakville isn't known for having great pricing on CPO cars. Have you looked at this one at Pfaff by comparison? Less mileage (although both are basically new) for $5k less.

Cars appear almost identically equipped too. Based on the Pfaff price I'd be asking for at least $5k off at Oakville it not more...

They’re used cars, and not the “hot new stuff” the way the GTS 4.0 are. Usually used cars don’t have extra fees beyond Omvic. You can even try to haggle the price a little further below $79.9k. It’s a great deal compared to buying new.

From a quick scan at the configurator the car at Pfaff has an MSRP of around $104k so on the surface that seems like a pretty solid price (25% off MSRP, almost delivery miles, includes extra 2 years of CPO warranty). It could however have something to do with the new 718 GTS models coming out with the 4.0 flat six vs the relatively unloved 4 cylinder in the 718s.

If it seems cheap to you, go get it and you'll be driving it soon. If worried about price then shop around and haggle. I suggest researching options and decide what you need and colours and go from there, But if don't care that much and can afford with no big deal 80k go for it. Used cars don't have the BS new car fees. What are you using car for? do you have a winter car? track days? might want to try to get a GT4 or spyder, that is what I would go for if interested in this platform.

The introduction of the six cylinder GTS models have put a cap on prices of near-new well-spec'd 4-cyl. 718s. That car from Pfaff with less than 1000 km on it is priced way below what a 2020 S with the same options would be. Also, that 2018 GTS in Quebec looks very attractive too (really nice spec).
I personally think the 4 cyl. turbo 718s are great cars, and for those that concur, it seems there are good deals to be had right now.
