Default particulate filter

Do the Canadian 718 GT4/Spyder come with or without the particulate filter?
I just placed an order on a Spyder and am wondering if I should be exhaust shopping already....

I believe they do but I'm not 100% sure

I was just watching the throttle house review yesterday and they suggested buying an exhaust for the Spyder immediately

I should also add, that they definitely did not sound good in the video

I’m not sure what that means; could you please explain?

Yes shop for an exhaust. While there is no filter inside the housing it is still muted below 3800rpm, cylinder deactivation and exhaust valve management hinder the sound. I'm only at 800 km so haven't gone above 4K. Now it does sound better at the 4K mark and I'm sure as you go higher. But still needs something.

I'm coming up with a plan to get more sound.

Here's the gist.

Cargraphic - available now
Akrapovic - preorders for GT4 testing on Spyder
JCR - Available now
Soul - 7 week wait

But you'll be waiting a while so should all be available when you are ready.

If you watch Janko’s review, he says it’s not as simple as replacing the exhaust. He achieved better sound with basically an ECU tune.

Which video is that? EP127 from a week ago?

I didn't notice that he mentioned ECU tune, in that video he put in a Cargraphics valve controller which doesn't touch the ECU.
