commuting
I just moved back to the GTA after being away many years and have noticed it's much busier. How reasonable is it to live in Richmond Hill and commute in the morning to Shops of Don Mills area by car? Is it gonna be ridiculous such that I should just suck it up and rent a place in the city?

You find it is busy now? With a huge percent of the population still working from home?
That is surprising to me... I've found traffic in the GTA has been extremely light since mid-March and even in rush hour it is far, far better than pre-COVID. Mind you I've also been working from home so not exactly out in the thick of things.
If things get back to normal (although unlikely) it will be even busier so something to keep in mind...

tough question as Richmond hill is huge so depending which part, but it would not be crazy to do that commute. as Vice said traffic is light now.

It's the the stretch where the 404 turns into the DVP and the stretch between York Mills and Lawrence that get hit with congestion the most. Having said that it's a lot better now. It was awful pre-COVID.

If you live further south in Richmond hill you could do it in 45 min in rush hour imo. You have local options too if the highway is really bad. Also, if you think traffic is bad now...
