Default ByeBye GT3, Hello GT3!

Hi all,
my 991.1 GT3 had problems since day one.
Pfaff worked really hard to help but after one and a half month, no luck.
So they decided to offer me exchange to 991.2 GT3,
And yes I took the offer.
Pick it up today, what I can say? 4.0 is totally different compares to 3.8, smoother, stronger and of course newer.
But there is still a problem, the front tow hook license bracket doesn't work with 991.2 since its too short.
Any recommendation for one fit 991.2 GT3?
Thx

Congrats! Curious, what's wrong with the 991.1 GT3?

Congrats on the new car.
I'd look into Rho-Plate - it should not interfere with the PDC and they're Canadian to boot.

Congrats!
I went with this mount. Also Canadian.
It hooks into the mesh in the front bumper.
Has it's pros and cons but I prefer it to the off center tow hook location.

+1 Carbonio mesh mount for GT3's!!
Off centre tow hook mounts not only look goofy on Porsche, they offend my eyes!!

I recall seeing your thread about problems after picking up the 991.1 GT3, glad to hear you got it resolved and then some! Would be interested to hear what ended up being the issue(s) and also for more details on the swap to the 991.2. Was it a straight swap or did you have to kick in additional dollars?

If it was a straight swap have to say that is impressive by Pfaff, on average their .2 GT3s are $35-40k more than the .1's so that is quite a make good offer. If the front license bracket is your main concern then you have no worries...

Is the mesh grille strong enough to hold the weight for the long term?
Thx

It was randomly shut off while I'm trying to move.
Pfaff ordered new DME form Germany. This problem got fixed.

Right after that, the car lost power randomly and had check engine light on. Left in the garage overnight, started it, CEL off after 1 min.
Then back again and again. So I had the car for about one and a half month, was in my garage for only 4 days, maybe?LOL

sounds like a win win to me .. you get into a newer nicer problem free car , they will fix it and sell it way over what it originally sold for and make a bundle.
