Default Ottawa winter vehicle storage recommendations

Just got my 996. Planning ahead for winter storage. Anyone have any suggestions for a good, respected winter vehicle storage place in/near Ottawa?

Thanks

I think winter has been cancelled this year due to Covid.

I get the usual Rennlist "haha" jabs thrown in, but you can't fault him for asking for advice or leads on winter storage. Most storage spaces get picked up fast come October and November, and that often these spots get picked up by those who book / reserve their spots early summer. Come Fall season, you snooze and you lose.

I dont know about "respected" but I used to look on Kijiji etc for guys with condo parking spaces who would rent them out or garage space in my neighbourhood.

Best thing to do though is just put some snow tires on it and drive it. Porsches make great winter beaters with the proper tires and 996/997's etc arent exactly collectibles

I have a buddy with a corvette - he normally looks to sheltered accommodation condo buildings in Ottawa - you can normally find someone who will rent out their underground parking spot for the winter.....

I’ve used Canada Car Storage for several yrs running as long as you don’t need access to the car until spring. They have a location on bank st near the airport but that’s for their long term airport valet parking. Winter storage is in a converted elementary school out in the winchester area. very high security, heated and many of the spots can accommodate a battery tendor.

I have kept a car at Canada Car Storage for the last couple of winters. Their office is on bank street but they keep the cars south of Winchester in a converted elementary school. Heated. Worked out well and is reasonable priced.

Although pricier, a storage facility like Storage-Mart would probably be the way to go if you want peace of mind and access to the car over the winter.
I've rented a guy's parking spot at a condo before and got kicked out when security found out I don't live there.

Peace of mind is good. I parked my 97 993 TT at a friends place for the winter. In the spring he decided to go and pick his kids up at elementary school without it being registered or insured. I guess the crossing guard was impressed, I wasn't.

How much if you don't mind me asking?

If that price is for the entire winter that is excellent.
