DFC had them do touch ups on my Macan when I purchased it and the work was sub standard in my eyes.
I had someone back into me in a parking lot and had to get the bumper resprayed and couple parts replaced. Insurance sent me to Carstar in Kitchener down my the Audi dealership. Their work was flawless and repair was undetectable.

Porsche website lists their “approved” collision repair shops. I don’t necessarily know that amounts to much but might be a consideration if/when you sell your vehicle.
I’ve heard that sticking to BASF Glasurit paint products is ideal, but I know even the shops on that list don’t all do that so I don’t think I’d get hung up on that.
is your aim to just have it appear good as new - or are you concerned about things like longevity, future saleability of the car etc?

I took my Golf R to 427 this morning for an estimate. But it does not need paint, just parts, and the bumper off to replace them. Damn rabbit.

Well, they fixed my car fine for the "rabbit hit" damage.
But....
They drained down a 4-year-old battery, so now it won't take a proper charge. They had to jump start it for me so I could leave, I figured it would be ok after the drive home, LOL not. They obviously had to jump it to take it VW for the lane assists calibration, since they disturbed the bumper sensor. The car is under god damn warranty, so why they would not at least call me and tell me what was going on prior to picking the car up today blows my mind. I would have called the dealer and told them to replace it, which would have saved me another dealer visit.
On the funny side, they replaced my AC condenser that was completely un-damaged. But I'm happy that it looks nice and new again.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

i've heard similar stories about cost run ups .
i think another users battery died under warranty too in his R, odd that batteries dont even last the warranty period these days.

I had a shop kill a 997 battery due to their BS nonsense.
Apparently every car stored inside their shop must be left unlocked due to safety and insurance policies

Nope, they responded today saying that the car started fine when it was taken to VW. I call BS, I had the car on a charger all night last night and it still won't start on its own. But they said they would sell me a battery. LOL
I called Burlington VW and they said I can just change the battery, which is not true. The VAG computer needs to tell the car that it has a new battery. They also said it's not covered under my CPO warranty.
I called Georgetown VW and they were extremely nice, the car is going to them on Monday for a new battery and they said they will try to put it through warranty.

Ouch, that's unfortunate. Sorry to hear about your experience; I think they could have handled the situation a bit better. 427 Collision is not far from me, like 10 minutes away door to door, but I guess I'll look elsewhere for my future body shop needs.
