Hey Guys:
I have come to the realization that my clutch master slave most likely needs replacement. There was plenty of greenish oily fluid in the trunk which I have now mostly mopped up and washed but the question I now have is ...where do I go to get the work done? I have always had great work done at Hunter Motorsports but Brent is totally swamped. I tried calling Pfaff and have left messages but they won't return my calls. Refined motorsports has an answering service which I have not used so far. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. P.S. I notice that Canadian parts prices seem to be about on par with those south of the border.
Yes, Brent sure looks busy on IG. I think you're going to have the same issue with any indy. With everyone in quarantine, people are focusing on their cars more so than the average for this time of the year.
My parts supplier in Texas is going totally crazy with all the orders, everyone is wrenching.
And to make matters worse the dealers are only running skeleton staff.
Maybe try Auguste in St Catherines or Zoro Tech in Stoney Creek as they are a little farther from the core.
I can suggest Liam @ Keltech in Markham. He has been looking after my 996. I'm booked in this Thursday to put my Bilstein B8s in and new engine mounts.
If you're in the west end I've heard of European Automotive in Oakville.
I've had good luck with scheduling with Mantis Automotive / Racing in Oakville recently after getting my Boxster ready for the spring. Was impossible getting an appointment with Hunter Motorsports.
Pfaff Motors tells me they have two classic specialists on staff now. I am waiting to get a quote for labour. The wait time is not bad as of this morning.
Bumping an old thread, but I finally managed to get an appointment with Hunter Motorsports today. Left with an alignment I was super happy with. Great guy to deal with and great staff. A little more expensive than most independents, but his shop is 15 minutes away from home for me.

Looks like you got Brent on a good day .... Good for you
Ok ... so thank you all for your advice .... much ..... much appreciated. I ended up taking my car to Zoran at Zorotech in Stoney Creek. I am very pleased with the care Zoran took of my car / baby. I am confident that he has done a fine job and he was absolutely excellent to deal with which in itself was such a refreshing change from my usual shop. No whining, hysteria, complaining - no telling me which jobs he'll do and which he won't. With Zoran you can speak to him and make an appointment. He is accessible, well organized, highly knowledgeable, dependable and fair. In other words .... He's got it together. He respects his customers and I'll go back.

I am almost positive this is a one-off. I will likely never end up getting another appointment with him until next year, or when the next pandemic hits.
Glad to hear you got things sorted out at Zorotech. Lots of good reviews from the community. No experience myself (due to distance.)
If all else fails, next time you can always do this work yourself. Can't be that complicated on a 993. I' ve done this on others cars over the years and they are all pretty much the same procedure. The bonus part is that you'll get some wicked yoga moves by the time the master comes out from under the dash.
