Not surprised, all the teams asked the FIA for a deferral as they don't want to see this season disappear and then have to go build a new car - The new ones will look pretty wild though with all the ground perfect aero!

I am not sure that F1 will survive in its current form. Liberty stock has been cut in half. The auto manufacturers are in deep financial trouble and we are heading into a deep recession. Add to that the pressure from the green movement and you have to wonder how they can continue a global circus with massive logistical costs.

I hope I am completely wrong.

I recommend the die cast racing league complete with commentary...even included a Porsche:

I think I've got a couple of rolls of quarters kicking around the house - I wish any other $ I had was also hanging around the house for the past couple of week and the next ?? months.

Ricciardo said in an interview that he's considering starting at the back of the first race - he figures all the drivers will be itching to get a good start to a short season the first corner mayhem will take half the field out!!
He plans to start at the back and cruise past into first place :-)
